According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Van - Director of Lam Dong Department of Information and Communication, in this event, Lam Dong province piloted 4 applications in building a smart city, including Travel Portal, Planning Portal, Smart Lighting System and Public Wifi System.
Specifically, the tourism information portal and smart tourism application based on mobile devices have been implemented for 100% of business establishments in Da Lat city. This application is creating the attention of local people and tourists when coming to Da Lat, helping tourists, people, businesses and state management agencies to connect with each other in a unified form. . Visitors who only need to use a smartphone or internet-connected computer can easily search for information about tourist attractions, accommodation facilities, or attractive culinary venues of Dalat city.
Da Lat City Planning Information Portal is deployed by VNPT, providing public information about the city's land use planning and plans. Up to now, in the process of implementing the experiment, successfully integrated all spatial data on planning according to the Decision 704/QD-TTg, December 5th, 2014 of the Prime Minister approving the adjusting the general planning of Da Lat city and its vicinity to 2030 and vision to 2050, planning according to the Decision 681 / QD-UBND, April 3rd, 2014 of the Provincial People's Committee, as well as data layers on plots land, administrative boundaries, traffic, number of houses in Ward 1, Da Lat. In the future, the unit will propose digitizing planning data throughout the city.
Currently, Da Lat city has completed installation and put into use the smart lighting system in Hoa Binh area - Da Lat market, the area of Ong Dao Bridge and Lam Vien Square. This system saves 60-70% of capacity, built-in free wifi broadcasting and security cameras for monitoring, ensuring order and security.
By December 2018, the Department of Information and Communications completed the installation and put into use 69 public Wi-Fi hotspots in 14 areas of administrative centers such as Lam Vien Square, Night Market, Hoa Binh Area - Le Dai Hanh, City Flowers Garden, Intercity Bus Station, Thanh Buoi Bus Station, BigC Supermarket ... with the capacity to serve up to 50,000 wifi hits.
