Lam Dong provincial leaders gave the decision and the project "Building Da Lat City became a smart city" for Da Lat City.
The project "Building Da Lat becomes a smart city" based on four main pillars: governance, life, environment and economy. Accordingly, the fields and content are assigned to have specialized agencies to implement, including e-government, urban planning and safe land, agriculture, tourism and city management. Environment, education and training, health, transportation. At the same time, set up a centralized smart city management center, to analyze and process data collection and infrastructure investment and data base for smart cities, to create a common communication environment between application systems.
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Mr.Doan Van Viet said that building a smart city is an opportunity for Da Lat to widely apply modern science and technology to the fields of commune life. The association aims to solve both immediate and long-term issues, seize the opportunity to break the socioeconomic development, in accordance with the orientation of building Da Lat city with modern standards, utility, sustainable.
On the basis of analyzing the current situation and socioeconomic development orientation, conditions of Da Lat City in terms of human resources, funding, technical infrastructure, ensuring feasibility in the implementation process, each project implemented in a specific period, in accordance with the general orientation of socioeconomic development of Da Lat City.
The project aims to enhance the smart interaction between people, businesses and authorities through appropriate connection channels; connections between areas in the city; improve the quality of life and work; City governance changes from "passive" to "active" and improving the effectiveness of sustainable socioeconomic development.
With a vision to be determined by 2025, Da Lat basically becomes a smart and modern city typical of Vietnam and international level.
