Palace I is a very large construction system in Tran Quang Dieu Street, Ward 10, Da Lat City, located about 4km south east of the city, on a hill with beautiful scenery and poetic, 1,550m high pine forest surrounded. The total area of about 60ha, the average slope of about 500. In the past, King Bao Dai used this palace as a headquarters and workplace for the officials in his "territory." In 1956, the Ngo Dinh Diem administration used the palace as a residence for the president. After 1975, it was used as the Guest House of the Central. Dinh I is now exploited as a tourist attraction in Dalat.
