The Prime Minister has just approved the construction planning of Lam Dong province until 2035 and vision to 2050; Accordingly, Lam Dong will become a dynamic economic region of the Central Highlands region, with a synchronous and modern infrastructure system; is a high-tech and national agricultural research and production center, developing mineral exploitation and processing industry.

Lam Dong is the center of high-tech agricultural research and production of the whole country, producing high-value agricultural goods in the international market, oriented to develop agricultural areas in a multisectoral approach.

The focus is on 4 goals, aiming to build the number one brand in Vietnam; Southeast Asia's number one vegetable and flower production cluster; Vietnam's number one agricultural tourism destination; forming a key human resource training and agricultural research center in the Central Highlands.

Form high-tech agricultural zones, high-tech agricultural production areas, associated with the development of flower villages, traditional craft villages, building green urban villages and developing agricultural tourism models.

To develop concentrated husbandry according to industrially farm models, with dairy cows concentrated in Don Duong, Duc Trong, Lam Ha, Di Linh, Bao Lam and Bao Loc; beef cattle in Dam Rong, Lam Ha, DonDuong, DucTrong, Di Linh, Bao Lam, Da Huoai, Da Teh, Cat Tien and Bao Loc. Pig raising in Dam Rong, Lam Ha, Don Duong,... Da Lat agricultural area includes: Vegetable and flower cultivation areas in Da Lat, Don Duong, Duc Trong, Lac Duong, Lam Ha, food mushroom production Premium and medicinal mushrooms. Rice growing areas in Cat Tien, Da Teh and Lam Ha; tea cultivation areas in Bao Lam, Bao Loc, Di Linh, Da Huoai, Da Lat, Lam Ha and Da Teh. Coffee-growing areas: Robusta coffee in Di Linh, Bao Lam, Lam Ha, Duc Trong, Bao Loc, tea coffee in Lac Duong, Dam Rong, Lam Ha, Da Lat, high-tech coffee growing areas. A planting macadamia trees in Di Linh, Lam Ha, Bao Lam, Duc Trong, Don Duong, Dam Rong, Bao Loc; fruit growing areas in Bao Lam, Da Huoai, Don Duong, Duc Trong and Di Linh.
