Taking the lead in planting high-tech strawberries, especially strange varieties, since July 2019, Hoa Thang Thinh Farm in Dat Moi area, Ward 7, Da Lat has been working with partners from Japan. to transfer the source of Bach Tuyet strawberry seedlings, also known as purebred cherries from Japan, to Vietnam for experimental cultivation. This is also one of the first gardeners to propagate and successfully grow this type of strawberry in Dalat.
With the current preeminent strawberry-growing technique, even though Tuyet strawberry is a new crop, Hoa Thang Thinh Farm still grows and propagates successfully. So far, this strawberry has produced fruits and is not inferior to imports from Japan. Snow White strawberries are grown in greenhouses, high technology applications, meet all biosafety standards. Strawberries are grown on bacterial-treated coir and are placed on iron racks 1 meter above the ground.
Ms. Doan Thi Thu - Farm Technical Manager said that strawberries from seeding to the first batch of fruits from 1.5 to 2 months. However, to have strawberry harvest is not all that simple. Compared with other mulberry varieties, the cost to grow and care for this type of mulberry is 20 times, while the yield of strawberries is only 10 - 15%.
